What we do
St Leonard’s Church is a Grade II listed church where the people of Thrybergh have been worshipping for over 1,000 years.
It currently serves the community of Thrybergh, near Rotherham, as part of the Church of England Diocese of Sheffield, with weekly Sunday services and events for the whole community throughout the week.
Join us in worship every Sunday at 10 a.m. Alternatively, the church is open for visitors every Bank holiday Monday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Do come along and explore our beautiful church, filled with history and heritage – you can use the quiet space to reflect and say a prayer. Safeguarding
The parish of Thrybergh St Leonard is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs.
All clergy and Readers within the Church of England receive safeguarding training and require record-check clearance certificates as a normal part of their ministry. Our lay volunteers who work with young people and vulnerable adults also go through the safeguarding process. This ensures that our congregation is a safe place for young and vulnerable people to visit.
